Sublime Community Goes LIVE!Posted by Nateus
Hello fellow community, welcome to the new sublime website (version 1.0)
This site is fully custom coded and we will be working with the developer over the next year to make the site expand with the help of you (the community).
The site currently involves a league page for our upcoming competitions , MWAVE Invite League and the Tt e-sports Amateur League. Please sign up to our website and create a team and one of the admins will position you within the right division.
New Features
1) Betting System
Now I know CyberGamer use a tipping system and various other groups have as well. What we have decided to do is make a betting system where you can bet on a particular team, these teams have odds and usually you would bet (insert figure) on a particular team and based on those odds if you win get (insert figure) back. This system has been setup to be a friendly way of betting all in the sport of fun and to win some fantastic prizes.
We have set up SUB "Limes" where you basically you get 5000 Limes when you sign up a account with us which you can then bet on any particular team. You make bets each week and the top 3 users with the highest limes at the end of the season wins a prize from one of our sponsors. Basically its designed as a bit of fun (kind of like tipping) and was introduced to get people more involved. Hope you enjoy it!
2) The Forums
We have scraped our old horrible forums and we are starting off with something custom made and basic, now I know its missing a lot of features but that will change over the next few weeks.
3) Sublime TV
Over the next 3-4 weeks Sublime will be introducing Sublime TV where our casters will be running live relays on matches of Starcraft II (a game we will be introducing soon).
4) Our Tournaments
Unlike the league setup, tournaments are designed as ODC's (One Day Comps) where you can play off a number of teams in a single day. This feature will be added over the following month.
5) The Shop

The Sublime community and MWave, one of Australia's and New Zealand's biggest online computer stores, have partnered together to provide some of the best ladders and leagues in the near future. MWave recognises the ability of the Sublime Community to provide exceptionally enjoyable amateur competitions and will be supporting the Sublime Community in their future endeavours!
What does this mean for the gamers?
MWave will be providing a whole lot of prizes for Sublimes Website and Invite competition including;
- 5x 500gb Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drives for 1st place (Sub-I)
- 1x 1tb Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive to the MVP of the grand final
- 5x $20 MWave Vouchers for 2nd place (Sub-I)
- 5x 8gb Corsair Flash Drives for 'a special team' in Sub-I (Details released at a later date)
This means the Sublime Community Invite competition will now be known as "MWave Sub-I".
In regards to the partnership, Sublime's Chris "Mayo" Smith commented:
"We look forward to working closely with MWave into the distant future and help them to support gaming within Australia and New Zealand. This is the first step for MWave and rest assured, the community will see more input from them in due time."
MWave's Andrew 'Lazyjai' Wang added:
"As Chris has said, this is our first venture into gaming as a company. After personally playing games for many years at a competitive level, I am happy for MWave to breach the scene."
